Anonymous, circa 217-215 BC. Semuncia (Bronze, 20 mm, 5.15 g, 12 h), Rome. Draped bust of Mercury to right, wearing winged petasus. Rev. ROMA Prow of galley to right with club on boat house. Crawford 38/7. RBW 100-2. Sydenham 87. A beautiful piece with an absolutely spectacular turquoise patina. Minor deposits and with very small spots of corrosion, otherwise, about extremely fine.
